Stronger together The BHS Foundation supports Butler Memorial Hospital and Clarion Hospital who, together, have committed to offering high-quality, affordable health care to our region for over a century. As a commu- nity health care system, we are “Stronger Together,” bringing new technology and compassionate care to the patients in our communities. Rest assured, all donations go to your designated community hospital. In 2020, while the world, our communi- ties and health systems especially reeled from the assault of COVID-19, you stood alongside us to protect our patients and staff, as well as to continue the important work in progress for the future good of our communities. 2020 donation highlights » COVID-19 Heroes Response Fund. Through generous donations by both local businesses and individuals, we were able to purchase state-of-the-art lab equipment for COVID-19 testing and supply critical personal protective equipment to staff and patients. » Support for women’s health care. We purchased an automated breast ultrasound (ABUS) unit for the Butler Women’s Imag- ing Center and a 3-D mammography unit for the Clarion Women’s Center. » Support for Butler and Clarion cancer and palliative care patients. We pro- vided grocery gift cards and other assis- tance for utility bills, medicine co-pays, gas, transportation and other everyday needs. » Support for education. We provided medical scholarships to BHS employees and students in Clarion County. Making a positive difference in 2021 Looking at the past makes us feel humble and thankful for your generous support.
