Grateful Patient Program The BHS Foundation would like to say thank you to the special health care heroes who have worked tirelessly over this past year. Did one of these health care heroes make a difference in your life or the life of a family member? Do you have a loved one who works in the health care industry that you would like to recognize? Butler Health System Foundation’s Grateful Patient Program offers an opportu- nity to support the BHS Foundation through a donation, while recognizing a spe- cial caregiver who touched your life. You have the opportunity to write a note or story, and these will be shared with the caregivers. You can donate to the campus of your choice—Butler Memorial Hospital or Clarion Hospital. Serving our community: The BHS Food Institute The BHS Food Institute is the first of its kind in the Butler region to assist those in our community struggling with food insecurity. The Food Institute was established to give everyone a way to stay healthy by helping participants learn about nutrition and eat healthier foods. It specializes in healthy eating for the whole family, meal planning and pre- paring healthy recipes on a budget. During each monthly appoint- ment, ingredients and cooking instructions for 10 meals will be provided. Additionally, participants will be connected to services to manage chronic diseases via lifestyle coaching and community resources to improve overall health. Opening in fall 2021 We are excited to announce that the BHS Food Institute will offer outreach and classes at the new BHS Health & Wellness Center, located at Trinity Point and opening this fall! By making a donation, you can help feed and educate a patient and their family for one: ■ Week—$25 ■ Month—$100 ■ Year—$1,200 100% of donations will go directly to the BHS Food Institute. The BHS Foundation offers a Memorial Gift Program for cumulative donations of $500 and above. At Butler Memorial Hospital, there is a lovely memorial display where a special tribute and photo plaque can be placed. At Clarion Hospital, there is a memorial display located outside, where a special tribute can be placed. Want to make a difference? Your contributions can help enhance health care in our community.
